Ultrasound Training In Office

Sonographers and doctors' offices have indicated that training on ultrasound machines is useful, even preferred. To cater to doctors' busy practices, training is now offered at their locations.

Smarsound consultants are available for tutorials and/or to provide hands-on training on your ultrasound equipment. We will confirm with a full day schedule of ultrasound training for your office. Hands-on training is most suitable for small groups because of the hands-on nature of the training, however your group can be any size.

Eight (8.0) hours of onsite ultrasound training is being provided through SmartSound Ultrasound, Inc., for the proper use of your ultrasound machine regardless of manufacturer. To assure competency in the performance of ultrasound, we request consideration be given to the following training schedule outline:

• 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Introduction to ultrasound physics; principles of ultrasound propagation; basic principles of Doppler imaging (color and Power Doppler); utilization of Power Doppler in the evaluation of thyroid nodules, lymph nodes and parathyroids; system features and operation; equipment care and maintenance.
• 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch break.
• 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Didactic training in ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Patient scanning. Please schedule patients with no less than 20 minutes between. Schedule a few normals first; biopsies later in the day. (Allow 30 minutes for biopsy patients).
• 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Reimbursement information. (This time may be devoted to the office manager only if preferred).
